Utsyn over Courmayeur


Courmayeur er ein by og ein kommune i regionen Valle d'Aosta heilt nordvest i Italia. Kommunen har eit areal på 210 km² og har i kring 2 900 innnbyggjarar. Byen ligg ved foten av Mont Blanc, den høgste fjelltoppen i Alpene og i det vestlege Europa. Elva Dora Baltea renn igjennom Courmayeur, som ligg 1 224 meter over havet.


Courmayeur er eit attraktivt turistmål året rundt. Det er ein kjend vintersportstad, og om sommaren er byen eit mykje nytta utgangspunkt for turvandrarar og klatrarar.
