I am trying to draw this picture:

I have tried a lot of things, like defining this

newcommandirregularcircle[2]
pgfextra pgfmathsetmacrolen(#1)+rand*(#2)
+(0:len pt)
foreach a in 10,20,...,120
 pgfextra pgfmathsetmacrolen(#1)+rand*(#2)
 -- +(a:len pt)
 -- cycle

But it don't give a figure that can be between the x-axis and the circle, and I don't know how to do this. Thanks.

One possibility is tp build up a random list and plots a smooth curve through it.
